A Sunday Ritual, Month Four

Brunch is still better with a soundtrack.

August gives us five Sundays, and we're using every one of them — a live set with brunch from 11am to 2pm, all month. A Kodak-featured folk-pop songwriter, a returning favorite with over two million streams, a New Orleans-rooted road veteran, the frontman of pop-soul band Undecided Future, and a Voice alum whose songs have scored half of television. Steak and eggs from the wood-fired grill, a bellini in your hand, and a live set across the dining room. The music is on the house.

Gabby Neeley

Series Opener · Sunday, August 2

Gabby Neeley

Folk-Pop Singer-Songwriter

A Los Angeles singer-songwriter blending organic, instrument-driven folk-pop with introspective lyrics drawn from her own life. Her debut single “27” caught the attention of Kodak — its 35mm-shot video featured alongside Del Water Gap, Miley Cyrus, and Becky G — and the animated video for “porcelain,” which she wrote and directed, won Best Short at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival. August opens the way a Sunday should sound: warm, honest, unhurried.

Jonathan Blake Salazar

Sunday, August 9

Jonathan Blake Salazar

Solo Acoustic Singer-Songwriter

A Sunday Sessions favorite, back again. Jonathan's original songs have been featured on The Voice, American Idol, Love Is Blind, and more — with over two million streams on Spotify and credits opening for John Legend, Third Eye Blind, and Smash Mouth. Soft, lived-in, and exactly right for a slow Sunday.

Kurt Hunter

Sunday, August 16

Kurt Hunter

Singer-Songwriter · New Orleans Roots

Back at The Arthur J after his April set. Originally from the New Orleans area and now based in Southern California, Kurt has played music in over 35 states and five countries, with songs featured on television, film, and radio — including a national Esurance commercial built on a jingle he wrote himself. Off the road, he produces other artists from his home studio, with new album and single projects on the way.

Matt Isaac with Undecided Future

First Time At Sunday Sessions · Sunday, August 23

Matt Isaac

Pop-Soul · Frontman of Undecided Future

The lead vocalist and frontman of Southern California pop-soul band Undecided Future, Matt has played Disneyland Resort, MGM Las Vegas, and Virgin Voyages stages across Europe and the Caribbean. His credits run from collaborations with Jason Derulo, Dr. Dre, and Dem Jointz to co-writing Jordin Sparks' Billboard-charting single “Call My Name.” Powerful vocals, magnetic stage presence — pop, soul, funk, and R&B in one Sunday set.

Matt Sky

Closing The Month · Sunday, August 30

Matt Sky

Singer-Songwriter · The Voice Alum

Back for the first time since May. A Los Angeles songwriter — and Team Adam alum from season five of The Voice — whose debut album Parallel Universe has earned placements across Love Island, Love Is Blind, American Idol, Queer Eye, and Dancing with the Stars. Modern production, timeless melodies, and a fitting way to close a five-Sunday month.

And On The Plate

A steakhouse brunch, start to finish.

The music is the new part. Everything else is what we've always done — wood-fired over white oak, served with the same care we put into dinner.

The Arthur J steak and eggs Steak & Eggs
The Late For Church bellini Late For Church

Steak & Eggs

Any of our premium cuts — wood-fired over white oak on the J&R grill — with a sunny-side-up organic egg.

Maryland Crab Cake Benedict

Lump blue crab cakes, poached organic eggs, roasted tomato, arugula, and a tangy béarnaise.

Brûléed Brioche French Toast

Harry's Berries strawberries, whipped mascarpone, and hot buttered-maple syrup.

And to start: a Late For Church bellini, a Sunday Best bloody mary, or a Rise N' Grind espresso martini.
